Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, ARF cats and dogs were excited about the annual tree lighting event.

Leia:  I heard that our ARF humans had lots of visitors to their booth at the tree lighting festival.

Bobbie:  And I heard it was very cold and snowed just in time for the lighting!

Leia: I wish we cats could have been there.

George:  That would have been stressful for us, but our new ARF dog Mia was there.

Bobbie: Did she find her forever family?

Olivia:  Sadly, no, but so many people fell in love with her. I bet we will too, when we meet her.  When are we meeting her?

George:  How about now?  Here she comes!

Mia: (entering the cattery)  Hello, cats! I’m Mia. You all stay calm, and I will, too.  But if you take off running, I’m all in for the game!

Leia:  Understood. So you like to chase us felines, huh?  What about dogs?

Mia: I like to play with dogs. It’s you cats I like to chase.  Some of you understand the game, but lots don’t.

George:  So tell us about your day at the tree lighting festival. Was it fun?

Mia: It was so much fun! I really loved meeting all the humans and other dogs. There were three families who fell in love with me, but they were visiting from far away and didn’t want to put me into the belly of an airplane. Whew!

George: Aw, that’s too bad. But you’re so cute that you should find a family very soon.

Mia: I hope I do!  My foster parents are leaving this Friday for two weeks.  If a forever family doesn’t pick me by then, I’ll have to find another foster.

Leia:  I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. And I’m keeping them crossed that some of us here in the cattery will have our very own families for the holidays. That would be so special.

Bobbie:  I get teary-eyed just thinking of being in my own home, snuggling with my own forever humans near the fireplace.  Ahhh….

Olivia: What a wonderful holiday gift for us and the humans, too.

Will Mia and the ARF cats find their forever families in time for the holidays?  Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of Days of our Nine Lives each week.
