I recognize the importance of county road crews having the right of way to clear dangerous trees from the road right of way. What I do not understand is how a county maintenance crew can cut down a healthy 40-year-old evergreen oak tree that is not near a power line or creating a hazard, this same crew also cut down two 20-year-old manzanita trees. All of these trees were 5 feet from the road and their branches did not crown onto the asphalt. I am just sorry some over-zealous county employee took down these trees on my property but on the right of way. If they randomly cut my trees yours can be next.
