Bobbie
Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the ARF dogs and cats were discussing methods for finding forever homes.

Veronica: And then there was one.

Bobbie: What do you mean? One what?

Veronica: One dog. Me. Betty found her forever mom. I’m so happy for her, but I’ll miss her.

George: Me, too! Betty really liked us cats.

Bobbie: Veronica, it won’t be long before you find your forever family. You’re a very cute dog and everyone loves a puppy!

Audrey

Veronica: Yeah, I guess. You’re right. I’m one cute puppy, aren’t I?

Bobbie: Yes, but you have sharp nails! When are you getting your mani-pedi?

Veronica: On March 28, if I’m still with ARF. You know, at the nail-trim clinic.

Bobbie: I need a mani-pedi. Will they take cats, too?

Mr. Gray: I heard that they will. I want to look good for the humans who visit the cattery.

Audrey: Mr. Gray, good looking nails or not, you need to learn to woo the humans if you want to be adopted.

Mr. Gray: I woo them, once I’m comfortable with them. If they would just visit for a while, they would see just how friendly we all are.

Veronica

George: And they would learn that I like to be petted, but only near my head. I’m funny that way.

Pepper: You all could learn from me. I’ve perfected the weaving around the human’s legs. They like that, ya know.

Veronica: Forget weaving around legs. Just wiggle your butt and tilt your head like I do. It gets ’em very time!

Mr. Gray

Audrey: Veronica, that’s a dog move. We cats are more sophisticated than that!

George
Are cats really more sophisticated than dogs? Maybe, maybe not. But we do know their adoption fees are now half price! Be sure to keep up with the animal antics of “Days of our Nine Lives” each week. And please stop in to say hello to the entire adoptable cast at the ARF House, 26890 Hwy. 243, on Saturdays 10-4 and Sundays 10-2, or by appointment M-F by calling 951-659-1122.

In Memory of all our beloved pets.
