Grandfathers For Golf, the San Jacinto-based nonprofit dedicated to providing free golf instruction for children, has openings in the spring session for children ages 7 and older.

Children who sign up get free golf instruction, a free set of golf clubs and a free uniform. Grandfathers never charges for its services or equipment, although donations are encouraged.

Tuesday classes start at 3:30 p.m., March 6, and Thursday classes begin March 8. Both classes will be at the Golden Era Golf Course in San Jacinto.

Limited space also is available on Tuesdays at Echo Hills Golf Course in Hemet beginning on March 13, also at 3:30 p.m.

Sign ups are available online at grandfathersforgolf.org, or call 909-754-4148.

This is the first time 7, 8 and 9 year olds have been invited to sign up. Sign-ups for this age group are usually reserved for the summer session.
