goals were scored, Charlotte Taylor and Yunah Jang played well for the Knights. Victoria Solorio and Levi Titus also played well for the Yellow Jackets. Zakei Williams scored a goal for Village Market Wiggle Worms in their game against Ferro Woodland Warriors. The Woodland Warriors had a goal from Chaz Piche and a penalty kick goal from Hayden DeRoche.

Ages 7-9

Patty Perez Rockets won their first game.  Xavi Cerritos scored a goal and Lucy Newman’s play helped the Rockets to their first win 1-0 over American Legion Tornadoes.  

Micah McCaughey and Candice Cook played well for the Tornadoes in a close game.

Crazy Train Pub & Grill Galaxy’s Silas Holldber was outstanding in the nets in the first half and kept the game close against Forest Realty Idyllwild Stars. Hailey Olivier and Jackson Taylor also played great defense for the Galaxy.

Indigo Dagnall scored a first-half goal for the Blue Stars and added another goal in the second half.  Darius Esparza added the third goal for the Blue Stars in their 3-0 victory.

Ages 10-14

Muirs Mountain Green Hornets and Idyllwild Brew Pub Blue Stars were headed for their fourth straight tie after a scoreless first half.  Then the Blue Stars exploded in the second half with goals from Christopher Cerritos, Travis Rocha and Oliver Gonzalez for a 3-0 victory.

Goalie Finn Carpenter of the Green Hornets shut out the Blue Stars in the first half and Cody Fogle played well in their loss.

    On Saturday Oct. 15, two Minor League games were played. The first game was between the Idyllwild Heating and Cooling Bobcats and the American Legion Hurricanes. The game was fast-paced as both teams went up and down the field. Colby Sonnier scored two nice goals for the Bobcats as did Rene Montoya for the Hurricanes.
    The second game pitted the Café Aroma Galaxy and the La Casita Ravens. The Galaxy played tough defense as Julia Wangler fought off the Ravens’ attack over and over. The Ravens’ Elie Manchester played a great game while hustling around the field.
