Brendan Steele posted a 7-over-par 76-73 — 149 for the first two days of the Velspar Championship in Palm Harbor, Florida, missing the cut by 6 shots.
The Idyllwild native’s recent problems continued. He was under 50 percent in both driving accuracy and greens in regulation, and he lost 2.7 strokes to the field putting over the two days.
Brendan takes this week off.
