Looking for members to serve on advisory council on aging

Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington is looking to fill the position of Third District Representative on the Riverside County Advisory Council on Aging.
Members on the Advisory Council on Aging evaluate matters affecting older persons and disabilities in the county, including, but not limited to, health, education, employment, housing, transportation and recreation. Members serve in an advisory capacity and make recommendations to the Riverside County Office on Aging and Board of Supervisors.
Members must be at least 18 years old and either live or work in Riverside County’s Third District. To see a map of Riverside County’s Third District, visit the following link: http://bit.ly/3byW8SE. Members serve a three-year term, after which time they become eligible for reappointment. Meetings are held monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at various locations throughout the county. Currently, meetings are held virtually due to COVID-19.
All members serve without compensation but may be reimbursed for mileage and other expenses at the discretion of the Office on Aging. Members must adhere to the Ralph M. Brown Act.
