Wendy Read coached Hemet’s AYSO under 10-girls spring select team this spring, The team finished first during the season and in the Thunderbird tournament in Moreno Valley. At the end-of-season playoffs, after two overtimes, the championship game was still tied. Unfortunately, the girls lost the shoot out by one goal. Idyllwild’s Palms to Pines Golf Association held its regular monthly tournament in conjunction with the final match-play playoff for the title of Club Champion on Friday, Oct. 21, on the Legends Course at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon in Beaumont (formerly East Valley Golf Club). The course was in excellent shape and the weather was fantastic.
