Albert Raymond Stevenson, 57, a 15-year, well-loved resident of Idyllwild, died of congestive heart failure at Hemet Valley Medical Center in Hemet on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999.

Mr. Stevenson was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Riverside. He was a member of the American Legion Post 800 of Idyllwild, having served from 1964 to 1967 in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Stevenson was a truck driver for Harold K. Smith Excavating here in Idyllwild for the past 10 years. He enjoyed baseball, pool, golf and reading.

Graveside services were to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., in Riverside. Miller-Jones Mortuary and Crematory of Hemet is handling arrangements.

Mr. Stevenson is survived by his mother, Agnes Hellquist, of Utah; two sons, Ryan Graham of Yucca Valley and Edward Stevenson of Palm Springs; six daughters, Leslie Stevenson and Mary Stevenson, both of Idyllwild, Sharon Stevenson of Cathedral City, Stephanie Stevenson of Hesperia, and Michelle Stover and Shannon Stover, both of Hemet; a friend, Rachel Haynes of Idyllwild; two brothers and two sisters; and seven grandchildren.
