Viv Larson
This mountain and mountain community will miss the kind face, the engaging spirit and generous contributions Viv Larson has shared with us for over 20 years. After an accepting yet vigorous struggle with lymphoma cancer, Viv died peacefully in her sleep early Saturday morning. Her friends were with her; the Alleluia Chorus was playing in the background and, as Viv instructed me to say, “She went to swim with the dolphins.” Viv also insisted that I keep this announcement short and simply give thanks to all who made her life so meaningful and enjoyable here on the mountain. A gathering to remember, give thanks and celebrate Viv’s life will take place 2:30 p.m., Sunday, April 21, at Spirit Mountain Retreat, 25661 Oakwood St., Idyllwild, CA.
