Four paws up to our Tammy girl, the min-pin/chi-mix. Your good manners caught the attention you needed to find your perfect human. We just know you will be spoiled to death in a forever-ever home, as it should be. Yay for you sweetie. And Meatball and Poppy, our kittens abandoned on the ARF porch, will have their forever home, too, this week.

critter-BuddyIntroducing Buddy the beagle, although he responds more to his original name, Grounder. He was abandoned by his owner and relinquished to ARF. Buddy is 5 years young, and a true lover of the tennis ball or a squeaky toy and treats, of course. He is a purebred beagle so he comes with the hound nose to the ground and the beagle bark. What a great boy he is. Easily distracted from whatever he had to bark at, he will respond to the tennis ball. He loves to play, will twirl around in circles, and is good with other dogs and, of course, humans are his specialty.

He needs an energetic family who understands the breed and will fall in love with those ears and eyes.

critters-Hemmingways    The Hemingway brothers are the new boys on the block. Ernie and Wilson are polydactyls. However, Ernie is a poly on all four paws. Very rare. They are 6-month-old kittens that still need some socialization to respond to the human touch. Ernie is friendliest among the two.

We have several adult cats in our cattery, too.ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.arfidyllwild.weebly.com and click on Petfinder. There is also a link for Facebook, too.

All pets are spayed, neutered and current on shots. ARF is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sundays.

This week, Creature Corner is sponsored in Memory of Cotton. To sponsor the column, call Lisa Streeter at the Town Crier, 951-659-2145.

Mancha decided to take a little stroll, but was quickly reunited with her very worried owner. As was Harab, the friendly white Pitbull. Paws up to you both. Bentley, aka Bronson, the chocolate American Staffordshire is now in a trial home. A big bow wow for Lulu, who has finally found her forever home. It’s the week of love, and our hearts go out to the family of Greta, who passed over the rainbow bridge, the broken hearts will take a long time to heal with the loss of our special Sophie.
