Steele T3 at The Honda Classic
Brendan Steele fired an excellent 6-under-par 73-65-71-65 — 274 at The Honda Classic in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on the PGA Tour last week to finish tied for third place.

The Idyllwild native posted an eagle and 16 birdies against 10 bogeys and a double while belting drives averaging 326-yard drives into 66% of the fairways. He hit 61% of the greens in regulation and averaged gaining 1.322 strokes per day against the field with the flat stick.
The highlight of Brendan’s play had to be in the fourth round at the 539-yard, par-five 3rd when his 330-yard tee shot found the left fairway, 198 yards from the hole. He put his second shot on the green 29 feet from the cup, then drained that putt for an eagle three.
Brendan’s performance moved him up to 61th place on the FedExCup points list, and he now is ranked 69th on the Official World Golf Rankings.
Being an eighth alternate in this week’s WGC tournament, B will likely have this week off.
