One collision on Highway 243

One reportable collision occurred on Highway 243 almost two weeks ago, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) Public Information Officer Matt Napier.
The newspaper will report on the fatality that occurred on Sunday, May 9 as soon as CHP is able to release information.
At 10:55 p.m. Saturday, May 8, Jaimethon Llyr Titties, 20 of Twentynine Palms, was driving his red 1998 Honda Civic at 50 mph northbound on Highway 243 40 feet south of mile marker 10.75. He was unable to negotiate a left curve and collided with the metal guardrail.
A passenger of the vehicle suffered minor injuries but was not transported by ambulance. The vehicle was towed by Idyllwild Garage.
