Four paws up for Emma, our Aussie mix. Her smile says it all, as she enjoys her forever home and her new pack. Paws up to the human angel too for saving her.
LuckyLucky was tied to a post, matted beyond belief, with some kibbles thrown on the ground. He is a young male dachsund, Shih Tzu mix with the softest fur. He will make the perfect small indoor pet, as his favorite thing to do is to sit in your lap and just be loved. Lucky is looking forward to his forever, loving home with you by his side.
MissySo you had a bad day? Keep that football out, even after Super Bowl. Come home to Missy, a young Aussie mix and you won’t remember the “ruff” day at the office. She’s always ready for a game of catch, whether it’s the football or Frisbee, or her favorite toy. Prefer the walk? She’s ready. Great on the leash, good with all canines and a little inquisitive about the feline crowd, this smart girl is quick to learn tricks, and commands. Potty training? Done. Stay? Done. Release? Done. Down? Well, we’re still working on that. If you have the energy, she will match it. When the day is done, well, she might just share the remote and the couch!
BlackjackBlackjack, our tuxedo teen, promises to keep you laughing in your new year with his daily antics. Dressed for the holiday, he has lately taken on the chores of Mr. Mom, watching over the five “Girl Scout” kitties. Who, by the way, have all gone to their “fur”-ever homes.

The sign in the yard read “Doggie Heaven.” The heavy scent of urine and constant barking said “Please, help us.” And we did. Choking back tears, hearts breaking and at times gasping for air, we strived to make a difference. Among 25 plus dogs and cats living in horrid, unhealthy conditions, every bark only meant…
Make your birthday wish come true. If your biggest wish is for a dog, then ARF is the place to be. And that’s just how Bailey, the yellow Lab wiggled into her forever home. She became the best birthday present ever for her new human. Paws up to you. And if your wish is for…
Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” Panther and Little Girl talked about their perfect forever homes.
Little Girl: It looks as if the puppies, Frankie and Grace, might have found forever homes.
Leonardo is almost 2 years old. Always open to new friendships, Leonardo will bravely welcome any four-legged that walks through the door — be it canine, or feline. He knows no enemies, as he makes sure all the new orphans at ARF are accepted and safe. A sleek short haired grey, Leonardo, along with his siblings, lost his mom shortly after birth. One by one, his brothers were all adopted. He chose to pass it on, as Mr. Mom to Dawn and Dusk, who also lost their mom and were living under a house. Leonard is a one of a kind furry friend who is at his best consoling and loving other cats and dogs.
Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, the ARF cats celebrated Yale’s adoption. George: Wow. Those big dogs were gone in no time! Thomas: Seriously. Nala and Yale are so, so happy in their new homes. George: And did you hear that Alfie, the little Yorkie, was also adopted? Thomas: Yes, and I also…
Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” ARF pets discussed ARF’s offer of a two-fer for adoption of Mr. Gray and George. Sadie: Hey everyone! We have a new cat! Mr. Gray: Woohoo! Who is it? Thomas: ’Tis I, Thomas. I’m the newest ARF cat. Mr. Gray: Whoa. You look a lot like George….
