

Idyllwild School sports program gets donation

The Californa Trucking Association donated $1,000 to Idyllwild School’s sports program last week. At his first indoor track meet, a statewide competition in Fresno, Jayden Emerson, of Hemet High School and Idyllwild, finished second in his heat and ninth overall in the 2-mile race.
Shane Fender, Town Crier Advertising sales representative, took first place at the annual American Legion Post 800 Horseshoe Tournament for the second year in a row. Fender took first-place honors with randomly chosen partner Chad Marler. According to tournament rules, all partners are chosen randomly. Thirty-two players competed.

Idyllwild student Tyla Friemoth is a member of the girls’ varsity golf team, whose overall reord is 12 and 4. Within the Mountain Pass league, they are 7-2 and in second place.
