Emma Klingaman raced in Big Bear last weekend at the Kenda Cup finals. She won the Category 1 15-18 womens’ field. Next week, Emma will be competing in the state championships again in Big Bear.
Many Idyllwild girls attended the Hemet High School Volleyball camp for 4th through 9th graders this week. Wendy Read coached Hemet’s AYSO under 10-girls spring select team this spring, The team finished first during the season and in the Thunderbird tournament in Moreno Valley. At the end-of-season playoffs, after two overtimes, the championship game was still tied. Unfortunately, the girls lost the shoot out by one goal. Local Idyllwild resident Shelby Read (bottom right) was on the team.
