Brendan Steele did not fare well in the RBC Canadian Open in Vancouver, British Columbia two weeks ago. His 76-72 — 148 did not qualify him for the cut and weekend play.

His driving accuracy was low, which led to a low percentage of greens in regulation.

The Idyllwild native had last week off, but this week he is entered in the $8.5 million World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, which will be played on the South Course of the Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.
