BlackjackWhat a busy week for goodbyes at the ARF house. Feather, our terrier mix, has found love with her new pack. The last two “Girl Scout” kitties, Fire and Spit are snuggled in their new cattery with their forever human. And Reily, our German shepherd mix, wagged and talked her way right into her new forever hearts. Teddy Cooper, the Pomeranian will enjoy his new digs on Friday.
That leaves Blackjack, our one-year-old, male tux a bit lonely. Still loving to play, he is looking for a home with other four-leggeds — felines preferred; however, Blackjack is OK with canines, too. Blackjack minds his manners, he is not vocal, and lives to play hide and seek.
NellieAbandoned in the ARF yard, Nellie is our sweetheart papillon mix. She’s had her diva day at the groomers, so get that pretty pillow ready for this pretty girl. She’ll sing for her supper, and then snuggle in for a good nap. Nellie likes a slow walk, with rest areas in between, loves food, but most of all she likes to just flash those great eyes and make you fall in love. Unlike a diva, Nellie is willing to share her forever home with other four-leggeds. She is sure someone has a space for her and her pillow.
This cute little guy’s name is Lucky. Neglected, matted and barely able to see, this young male is in the arms of an angel. Soon he will be available for adoption.

Last week in Days of Our Nine Lives, ARF cats and dogs were excited about the annual tree lighting event. Leia: I heard that our ARF humans had lots of visitors to their booth at the tree lighting festival. Bobbie: And I heard it was very cold and snowed just in time for the lighting!…
Found: Neutered male, no tag, no chip. Call ARF 951-659-1122. Little purrs and four paws up to our youngest kitten, Suki. Didn’t take her long to find her forever home. Miss Sadie is about 3 years old, and is still ready for the old cat-and-mouse game. She loves to gracefully move along, step by step,…
Last week in “The Days of Our Nine Lives,” Checkers the dog met the ARF cats, and was unsure about Bobbie’s meltdown. Leia: Holy moly! Everyone sit down! You are going to be so shocked when I tell you this. Bobbie: Let me guess … that last kitten, Abra, got adopted. Leia: Right! But that’s…

Paws up to Summer, the shepherd who forgot it was winter and went for walk. She has been reunited, and is safe and at home. As well as to Buffy, the Lab, who just stepped out briefly.

Benny was also adopted! Terra: But the beautiful kittens Angus and Anita are still looking for their homes. Zeus: How is Mr….
