Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Youth volleyball for the week of April 23, including the the previous Saturday, April 21.

On Saturday, April 21, a day full of youth volleyball games began with Tee’s Tiger Sharks meeting the Rotary Silver Strikers. The Silver Strikers played great in the first game as Josh Gray served great. The Tiger Sharks came back in the second game. Aaron Potter hustled and got nice bumps for several points. In the third game, the Silver Strikers held on to win the match (25-15, 16-25 and 15-11).

The second game matched the Rotary Silver Strikers and the Muirs Mountain Realty Green Dragons. The Silver strikers stayed hot from the previous match and won all three games in this match. Adam Smith for the Green Dragons and Odin Johnston for the Silver Strikers played great for their teams. (25-14, 25-22 and 15-10)

The Muirs Mountain Realty Green Dragons played a second game against the CVC Contractors Hot Shots. The Hot Shots played well in the first game as Destiny Mikroulis and Grace Pavon hustled all over the court. Maggie McKimson and Gracie McKimson led the Green Dragons by being aggresive and going after the ball the entire match. In the end the Hot Shots were too much as they won all three games in the match. (25-20, 25-18 and 15-4)

The final game of the day was between the CVC Contractors Hot Shots and Tee’s Tiger Sharks. The Tiger Sharks started off hot as Jadon Meskimen played great serving and bumping for some big points. The Tiger Sharks won the first game. But the Hot Shots rallied and won the final two games and the match. Jessica Chavez served great for the Hot Shots to help lead the comeback (20-25, 25-22 and 15-7).

On Thursday, the CVC Contractors Hot Shots took on the Rotary Silver Strikers. The first game was close the whole way and necessitated an overtime. Maraja Kelly played great for the Silver Strikers as they won the first game. The Hot Shots stayed together and came back to win the next two games and the match. Allyah Bride played great for the Hot Shots in the win. (24-26, 25-18 and 11-15)

The second game on Thursday pitted the Muirs Mountain Realty Green Dragons and Tee’s Tiger Sharks. The Tiger Sharks won the first game as Olivia Hernandez hustled for the ball all over. The Green Dragons didn’t give up. Seth Clowers led the Green Dragons’ rally as they won the next two games and the match. It was their first win of the year. (22-25, 25-19 and 15-11)
