In September of last year, Missy’s family packed their bags, locked the door and walked away. And left Missy behind. She came to ARF, with a smile and plenty of energy in search of a best friend that would love her forever and never leave her again. With a little training, and a lot of playtime, our Aussie-pit bull mix has found her home complete with all that a dog could want. Paws up to you, Missy. We love you.

Lucky
Lucky was found tied to a fence, hair covering his eyes, matted, scared and hungry. A few kibbles were thrown on the ground for his dinner and the dirt was his bed. We couldn’t even distinguish his breed. Several hours of grooming revealed a starved cocker-poodle mix hungry for love more than anything. So he’s gained a few pounds, his golden fur is filling back in, and he is in search now of a best friend like Missy found to snuggle and cuddle the hours away. Lucky can be seen at ARF on weekends, or during the week by appointment. Call (951) 659-1122.

If you want a true friend who stays by your side, then Tucker, the male basenji mix, should be yours. Devotion is what he is all about. Where you are is where he wants to be. Very independent, Tucker is good with other dogs, cats, and children. Being the only four-legged in the kingdom would not bother him in the least. After all, it’s all about you. Good on the leash, Tucker turned one in March. He is looking for a lifetime best friend to tuck in at night.

Michele and Chip
Michele, a young terrier mix puppy, is being welcomed into the pack by Chip, our male teacup Chihuahua recently rescued with the Anza Gang. Michele wandered for weeks, hungry and covered with ticks. Both can be seen at ARF.
