The Hemet High School Boys’ freshman cross-country team finished first, against 14 other teams, in last week’s Mt. San Jacinto Invitational. Here, from left, are Jayden Emerson, Tanner Torrez and Chad Schelly. Tanner finished first, Jayden was eighth and Chad was 20th, competing against 168 other freshman runners.
