Town Hall Sports Coordinator Jeremy Teeguarden reported on Town Hall Youth Soccer, for the week of play from Tuesday, Oct. 30, through Nov. 2.

11 and Under Division
On Tuesday, Oct. 30, the Dr. Dunn and Dunn Oompa Loompas and the Roby Gray Construction Falcons met in a playoff game. The winner would advance to the championship game against the Ninjas.

The Falcons got off to a quick start when Ben Tiso knocked in the game’s first goal. The Falcons played great early and took a half time lead of 3-1 with Sarai Manchester’s help tacking on a couple of more goals.

The Oompa Loompas didn’t give up. They got a couple of quick early-second-half goals from Dilyn Reinholt. Chayton Kenyon’s goal gave the Oompa Loompas their first lead and broke the 3-3 tie. Then with just a couple minutes to play the Falcons re-tied the game 4-4.

The game went to a sudden death shootout. Each team got five shots on goal. The Falcons came out on top 2-0 to win the game and advance to the championship game.

On Friday, Nov. 2, the Roby Gray Construction Falcons faced the Ninjas in the U-11 Championship game. The game was a tale of two halves.

The Falcons controlled the ball and Ben Tiso scored the first goal. Goalies Zach Gray and Aly Fogle stopped shot after shot and the Falcons lead 1-0 at halftime.

The second half belonged to the Ninjas. Jake Gurling caught fire and scored the tying goal. Then just minutes later he scored the go ahead goal. Kevin Posey and Nicole Cochrane played solid in goal the entire second half. Jake tacked on his third goal late and the Ninjas won the championship game 3-1.

Thanks to all the sponsors, coaches, referees and players on a great season.
