Erec VonSeggern, son of Paul and Merrie VonSeggern of Idyllwild, has been named to Lawrence University’s 2016-17 dean’s list for maintaining a minimum 3.4 cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year. He is a 2013 graduate of Hemet High School.

Zachary Johnson, son of Becky and Jack Clark, owners of the Town Crier, was named an Aviation Electronics Technician Chief Petty Officer Select in the U.S. Navy last week.

He now is going through six weeks, seven-days-a-week, of intensive training before a pinning ceremony in mid-September at North Island where he is stationed.

Johnson has been in aviation electronics in the Navy for 11 years. Before North Island, he was stationed in Lemoore and Pt. Mugu. He is a graduate of Idyllwild School, Idyllwild Arts Academy and Kansas City Art Institute. His children, Carter and Evelyn, now attend Idyllwild School.
