Brendan Steele and good friend Keegan Bradley put together two eagles, 22 birdies, three bogeys and a double to score a 21-under-par 195 over the three-day QBE Shootout in Naples, Florida, last week. The pair was first or second during the first half of the tournament, but slipped to a tie for fourth on the final day.
The Shootout is the same two-man unofficial PGA Tour event Brendan and Keegan teamed up to win in 2011 when it was the Franklin Templeton Shootout. The first round was scramble play, the second was modified alternate shot and the third was four ball.
Brendan and Keegan earned no FedExCup points because this was not an official PGA Tour event.
Idyllwild native Brendan continues in fourth place on the FedExCup points list with 556, only 1 point ahead of Patrick Cantlay, and he now stands 45th on the Official World Golf Ranking.
