Brendan Steele was up to the challenge. Facing the cut after two rounds of the CareerBuilder Challenge, he came storming back Saturday, posting seven birdies against a single bogey while firing a six-under-par 66 on the Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West in La Quinta.
Saturday, Brendan’s approaches crowded the pins, and his putter churned out birdies.
The native Idyllwilder is now tied for 42 going into Sunday’s final round. He is 10 under par, nine shots off the lead.
