Steele preparing for U.S. Open

No, Brendan Steele isn’t injured. He’s just been taking four weeks off to spend time with family and to prepare for next week’s U.S. Open.
The native Idyllwilder currently stands 22nd on the FedExCup list and 51st in the Official World Golf Ranking. That may change a bit next Monday morning. A nice finish at the U.S. Open would be really welcome. Especially if it’s a win.
Last Thursday, Hemet High School’s track teams — mens and womens — defeated Beaumont High School. Former Idyllwild School students were significant contributors to Hemet’s victories.
