Brendan Steele missed the cut by one stroke at the Travelers tournament last week, so now he’ll regroup and get ready for his next tournament, The Open Championship, which will be played at Carnoustie Golf Club in Angus, Scotland, the week of July 15 through 22.

The native Idyllwilder dropped from 23rd to 24th on the FedExCup points list, and from 52nd to 54th on the Official World Golf Ranking. However, he had already earned his exemption to play in The Open.
