Brendan Steele had a better trip this week at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte, North Carolina. He posted a 2-over-par 72-70-75-69 — 286 for a share of 54th place.
On the week, the Native Idyllwilder’s drives averaged 321.9 yards and found 66 percent of the fairways, while he hit 68 percent of the greens in regulation and lost an average of just over 1 stroke to the field per day putting. Had he been just even with the field in putting, he would have moved up to a tie for 31st.
Brendan currently is ranked 160th on the FedExCup points list and is 181st in the Official World Golf Ranking. He’s not playing in the Byron Nelson this week, and he won’t qualify for the PGA Championship next week.
B is next expected to play May 23 in the Charles Schwab on the Colonial Country Club course in Fort Worth and then May 30 in the Memorial at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio.
