Brendan Steele will tee it up this week in the $7.3-million Mayakoba Golf Classic at the El Camaleón Golf Club in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
The Idyllwild native tied for 41st last year at Mayakoba, and hopes to do better this time. Brendan has dropped to 173rd on this season’s FedExCup points list after missing the cut at the RSM two weeks ago, so he has some catching up to do, but he will have many more starts this season to do it in.
Brendan will tee off Thursday at 9:40 a.m. PST and Friday at 5:10 a.m. PST. He’ll play with Wesley Bryan and Luke Donald both days.
