Brendan Steele had a rough time at the Texas Open in San Antonio last week posting a 7-over-par 70-76-76-73 — 295 to finish in 77th place.
The Idyllwild native’s stats were atypical for him. His drives averaged nearly 300 yards but into only 36% of the fairways, and playing from the rough resulted in hitting only 39% of the greens in regulation. However, he actually gained more than a quarter stroke per day against the field with his putter.
Brendan will be taking this week off.
