Steele to compete in Tuscon

For those who missed it, Brendan Steele is now competing in the LIV Golf League, no longer on the PGA Tour. Coming off a fine T5 finish at Mayakoba, Mexico, in his first LIV event, the native Idyllwilder will tee it up again this week, March 17 to 19, on The Gallery Golf Club course outside Tucson, Arizona.

LIV tournaments consist of 54 holes played over three days, Fridays through Sundays. The competition is simultaneously individual and team, with Brendan being one of four members on Phil Mickelson’s team the HyFlyers. At Mayakoba, Brendan’s first LIV appearance, he led his teammates in scoring.

The LIV’s shotgun starts will have golfers teeing off simultaneously in Tucson at 10:15 a.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 10:03 a.m. tee off time Sunday. The tournament will be carried Saturdays and Sundays on KTLA channel 5 in Los Angeles and on the CW Network.
