EMERSON COMES IN THIRD: As the runners near the finish line, Jayden Emerson (1223) of Idyllwild, was third of 116 runners in his heat. His time of 15:23 set the Hemet High School record at this course and was 15 seconds faster than his time for the 2013 CIF-SS prelims.     Wendy Read coached Hemet’s AYSO under 10-girls spring select team this spring, The team finished first during the season and in the Thunderbird tournament in Moreno Valley. At the end-of-season playoffs, after two overtimes, the championship game was still tied. Unfortunately, the girls lost the shoot out by one goal. Local Idyllwild resident Shelby Read (bottom right) was on the team.
