Motorcyclist identified
The victim of a fatal solo motorcycle collision on Tuesday night, Nov. 4, has been identified as David Reed. The 42-year-old Hemet man collided with a tree and then a concrete wall on Highway 243 just south of Riverside County Playground Road at about 5:20 p.m. He died at 6:31 p.m. in an Idyllwild Fire ambulance.

Fire broke out west of Idyllwild Arts Academy last Wednesday evening, June 2. “The fire was a half-acre, vehicle into vegetation on 5S06 1.5 miles west of Idyllwild Arts Academy,” wrote Idyllwild Fire Protection District (IFPD) Chief Mark LaMont the night of the fire. “IFPD and U.S. Forest Service responded.
