After a three-week layoff, Brendan Steele plans to play in three straight tournaments, the first being this week in the $7-million Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas.
During his three-week absence from the tour, other players continued to score FedExCup points, so the Idyllwild native has temporarily dropped to 103rd place on that points list.
He currently is 100th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Brendan will tee off in the Shriners Thursday at 7:55 a.m. PDT and Friday at 12:45 PDT p.m., playing with Troy Merritt and Greg Chalmers both days.
Using your computer or cellphone, you can follow his every shot in “3D” using the TOURCast feature on the pgatour.com website. It’s the next best thing to following him around the course in person.
