Brendan Steele posted a plus-3 score after two rounds of modified Stableford play at the Barracuda Championship in Truckee last week to miss the cut by seven points.
The Idyllwild native posted seven birdies against eight bogeys and a double while belting drives averaging 305 yards into more than two-thirds of the fairways. He hit 58% of the greens in regulation and averaged gaining 1.81 strokes per day against the field putting, but it wasn’t enough.
Brendan now stands in 92nd place on the FedExCup points list and is ranked 107th on the Official World Golf Rankings.
Brendan will have this week off.
