Steele to play in the Sony
Brendan Steele will tee off this week in the $7.5 million Sony Open in Hawaii on the Waialae Country Club course in Honolulu, Hawaii. Under the Sony name for 24 years, this tournament, with support from the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, has donated nearly $22 million to more than 350 charities.
Brendan finished alone in second place in this tournament in 2020, and last year he tied for fourth.
The Idyllwild native now stands 20th in the FedExCup points list and 101st on the Official World Golf Ranking.
Tee times were not available by press deadline on Tuesday since Hawaii is two hours ahead of Pacific Time.
The Sony Open will be telecast on the Golf Channel. You can follow Brendan on the pgatour.com website or with the PGA Tour cellphone app.
