A longtime Idyllwild resident, Kirk Rahn, died June 10 at his home in Medford, Ore., at the age of 49. Mr. Rahn was a general building contractor whose brother, Dennis Rahn, lives in Pine Cove.

The Rahn family moved to Hemet in 1945 where Kirk Rahn was born May 7, 1949. He lived in the San Jacinto Mountains until 1990 when he moved to Oregon.

A memorial service was planned at the Veterans Administration Cemetery in Eagle Point, Ore. The family will scatter his ashes at a private site on June 30.

Along with his brother, he is survived by his parents, Donna and Arnold Rahn of Hemet and Shadey Cove, Ore.; a son, Bryan, 14, of Medford; a daughter, Angie, 26, of Hawaii; a sister, Karen, of Shadey Cove; and one grandchild.
