It is with deep sadness and profound regret that we must announce the passing of Suzi Taggart on Aug. 28, 2001. The tragedy of this senseless loss is immeasurably compounded by the knowledge that she took her own life. She was 21 years old.

Those of us here on the Hill that had the good fortune to know her was struck be her vivid intelligence and winning smile. She had a tremendous capacity for joy – unfortunately matched, perhaps, with an equivalent capacity for pain. Her writing made words come alive and her conversation was challenging, stimulating and informative.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Idyllwild Arts.
