Gertrude “Trudy” Holldber of Pine Cove, passed away on Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at the age of 90. She was born Sept. 25, 1919 in West Virginia as the 13th of 14 children in her family. She was the youngest daughter and was preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters.

Trudy is survived by her two sons, Jerry and Steve Holldber, of Idyllwild, and one daughter, Brenda Stiff. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Kevin Holldber, of Idyllwild, and Kyle and Tyler Stiff.

Trudy lived on Foster Lake Road in Pine Cove for over 46 years, after moving there from the Los Angeles area. She will be remembered by many who observed her walking to town several times a week, until the leukemia got the best of her.

The small neighborhood she kept a close eye on will never be the same. She will be missed by all who knew her.
