A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at The Chapel in the Pines in Idyllwild to honor the life of Cathy Vail, who was a longtime resident of Idyllwild. A Fellowship gathering will be held at the Idyllwild Community Center Park immediately following the services.

Cathy was born in San Francisco on June 7, 1956 and died on Aug. 10, 2010 in Hemet, Calif.

Cathy is survived by her beloved husband, Gary Vail of Idyllwild; by her sons, Joshua Surber and Anthony Surber; by daughter-in-law Jill Laureano-Surber and baby grandson, Julian Surber; by her mother, Elaine Weiler; by her brother and sister-in-law Michael and Peggy Weiler; by her sister, Karen Weiler and Karen’s sons, Matt and Nick Grabau.

Cathy was dearly loved by all her family and many friends, and will always be remembered and loved.
