The Hemet High School Girls Volleyball (23-7) team’s journey through the state championships ended abruptly in Del Mar Tuesday, Nov. 22.

Nationally ranked Cathedral Catholic swept Hemet 3-0. The game scores were 25-9, 25-18 and 25-14 in the final.

This is the second consecutive year Hemet has ended its season in the first round of the state championships. Cathedral Catholic is one of six California teams ranked in the top 30 of the nation. The five ahead of Cathedral all in Division 1.
