Griffin Kretsinger (third from right, top row) played in a National Junior Basketball league in Hemet for fourth graders, 10 years old and younger, that included kids from Hemet, Menifee and Idyllwild. He was picked for an all-star team made up of kids from that league. His team, West Valley, won two regional tournaments to qualify for the national tournament, which was held at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana this past weekend. They won five games over two days and beat Whittier in the championship game to win their division. Griffin is the son of Brian and Stacey Oates Kretsinger of Idyllwild.
