Ever want to just get away? Find a quiet corner or nestle under a tree with a cool breeze? ARF offers a room away from it all, with no commitments, no fees. Only requirement is a warm loving heart and touch to the furry felines in the cattery. Come on in and visit our new cats!

Included at no extra charge is a seat in the ARF yard complete with four-leggeds, small, medium and large. Relax under our old oaks, play catch with a dog, or just welcome one on your lap as you read a book. And you just might fall in love.
And who couldn’t resist falling in love with Chip, the teacup Chihuahua rescue from Anza, or our newest addition to the ARF family, Michelle. Chip is a male teacup welcoming Michelle, a young female puppy found homeless and covered with ticks. Her matted unkempt fur has been groomed and her fears have disappeared as the Anza Rescue gang welcomes her into their pack.

Charlie Brown is just that, a chocolate brown teacup Chihuahua. A little shy at first, Charlie will warm up to you and before you know it, he’s in your purse.

Whisper and Lil Stevie are long haired Chihuahuas. Groomed and recovering from skin conditions, they have put the past behind them. They are part of the Anza gang, and can be seen bathing in the sun at ARF.

And of course there is Sydney, the mini Aussie. The friendliest of them all, Sydney is clearly the leader of the pack. Quiet, but not shy, Sydney would do anything to find his forever home as a senior.

ARF has many cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.idyllwildarf.org and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered, and current on shots. ARF is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call for appointment on any other day at (951) 659-1122. Email and donation opportunities are at www.idyllwildarf.org or email arf@greencafe.com.

Mancha decided to take a little stroll, but was quickly reunited with her very worried owner. As was Harab, the friendly white Pitbull. Paws up to you both. Bentley, aka Bronson, the chocolate American Staffordshire is now in a trial home. A big bow wow for Lulu, who has finally found her forever home. It’s the week of love, and our hearts go out to the family of Greta, who passed over the rainbow bridge, the broken hearts will take a long time to heal with the loss of our special Sophie. We will always remember her smile and the way she sat so pretty.
