On Monday, the softball week kicked off with Café Aroma taking on the Idyllwild Tea Company Cubs. Vicki McDonald pitched great for the T-Cubs. Bob and Kathy Lewis each had a couple nice hits and scored a couple runs as Café Aroma won 11-8.
HHS JV girls soccer come in third in tourney
The Hemet High School Junior Varsity soccer team poses after finishing third in Banning tournament this weekend. Idyllwild members (all in the back row) are Kyra Espinosa (4), Allie Hitchcock (7) and Mallory Marcus (12). Hemet won the final game when Allie made the winning penalty kick.
Hemet runners close in second spot
Hemet High Schools sophmore runners (from left) Tanner Torrez, Jayden Emerson and Chad Schelly take off in Saturday’s race. Jayden finished third, Tanner fourth and Chad 19th, but the team of five was second to Beaumont by only 63 seconds.
