Brendan Steele posted a 5-under-par 283 in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last week, tying for 34th place. It was his best ever finish at the Pebble Beach tournament.
The Idyllwild native slammed drives averaging 283 yards that found 71% of the fairways while hitting 2/3 of the greens in regulation. His putter was working well this week, too. He gained nearly 1/2 a stroke per day on the field putting.
Brendan now ranks 88th in the FedExCup points list, and he’s now 85th on the Official World Golf Ranking.
Brendan plays this week in the $9.3-million The Genesis Invitational on the Riviera Country Club course in Pacific Palisades, a suburb of Los Angeles.
The course features the iconic par-3 No. 6 hole with a sand bunker in the middle of the green.
Brendan will tee off Thursday at 12:16 p.m. PST and Friday at 7:46 a.m. PST, playing both days with J.B. Holmes and Rickie Fowler.
