Having been away from Idyllwild news for awhile, what a wonderful way Jimmy’s friends have honored him, by having a baseball tournament in his name. Such a kind and loving man, we were blessed to know him. I was lucky enough to work with him at the Forest Service Ranger Station where he lit up the place with his personality and laughter. You are often in our thoughts, Jimmy, and we were blessed to know you. Now I live in Florida and those memories are a few years old, but they feel like yesterday. Also, our thoughts are with you all for making it through the Mountain Fire. The San Jacinto Wilderness I loved so much is burned up, but thankfully the town and residents are in good shape.
