About 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, Joan Gormley, 79, was traveling about 30 mph east on Pine Crest Avenue near Alderwood Street when she lost control of her Subaru Forester, crashing head on into a tree. Photo by Jenny KirchnerAccording to witnesses and parties involved, on Sunday, Oct. 27, a little after 6 p.m., Noah Reed, 20, of Banning, was riding his motorcycle north on Highway 243 traveling around 50 to 60 mph. Reed lost control of his bike, swiping the side of a Honda Pilot near mile marker 15. Responders closed Highway 243 in both directions.
