Celia “Granny” Wagner passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at home in West Hills. 

She was born April 24, 1920, in Long Beach to Celia Rae Lewis and Guy C. Lewis. Preceded in death by her parents and her husband F. William “Doc” Wagner, she is survived by daughters Bonnie Ann Caylor, Robin Saporito and Gretchen (Jack) Peckham; grandchildren Sue Lawler, Russell Caylor, Wayne Caylor, Steven Saporito, Jennifer Saporito and Rebecca Saporito Moon; great-grandchildren Brice Billets, Hailey Rosas, Chris Caylor, Wyatt Caylor, Henry Moon August Moon, Rachel Saporito and Alex Saporito; and great-great-grandchildren Gabriela Rosas and Chloe Rosas. She also is survived by sweet Oakie Doakie, the 10-pound wolf in a poodle suit.

She grew up in Pasadena. She was a long-time resident of Whittier and Idyllwild, where she was active in Whittier Girl Scout Council, Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital, Idyllwild Elementary School, Mountain Community Patrol and ARF of Idyllwild.

After the death of her husband, she lived with Gretchen and Jack Peckham in Idyllwild and Anza. In 2016, she moved to West Hills.
