Charles Harris Wix passed away at his home in Idyllwild Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born in Illinois and came to California at approximately age 1.
He had three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Charlie’s passion was deep-sea fishing, which brought him to Alaska for many trips.
Charlie and Kay were together 19 years, traveled 32
countries and 34 states. He filled his Bucket List.
He was a member of the Idyllwild Rotary Club for more than 20 years and was active with many other local groups.
He had great wit, never met a stranger and always had a story.
Thanks to his myriad of friends for being a part of his journey. He has taken his fishing pole to heaven.
There will be no service, per his request.
Anyone desiring memorium, his favorite was Camp Ronald McDonald in Mountain Center or Rotary of Idyllwild for local community projects.
Please toast to Charlie with your memories (preferably merlot with ice.)
