Local whiffle golf tournament a fundraising success

Many golfers turned out for Sandii Castleberry’s fundraising golf tournament on the 18-hole course at the Castle Berry Country Club

In the week’s first game on July 11, Forest Lumber took on Pacific Slope. Danielle Whitney had a couple base hits and scored a run for Pacific Slope as they built a 6-1 lead. Forest Lumber came back in the last inning, thanks to a key base hit from Jamie Gooch, to pull within one run, but they couldn’t get the tying run home. Pacific Slope beat Forest Lumber 7-6.
